Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley is making lots of news just as his mother goes on trial. He wants a new sentence and his lawyers don’t want him to testify in his parents’ trials. ML and Marc discuss how the cases might go and why they are so monumental. Here is the latest from the first day of this unprecedented case.

It’s Presidential primary day in New Hampshire, where Donald Trump and Nikki Haley square off on the Republican side and Joe Biden stays off the Democratic ballot. ML covered Pat Buchanan’s 1996 New Hampshire Presidential Primary campaign, prompting Marc to ask how New Hampshire got to be so important. A history lesson ensues.

The Oscar nominations just dropped, prompting Shawn to ask whether Greta Gerwig should be mad she wasn’t nominated as “Best Director” for “Barbie.” Marc says his house is full of Barbies while Shawn is full of questions about how “Oppenheimer” ran for three hours without touching on Oppenheimer’s toxic legacy.

Marc liked “Killers of the Flower Moon” – even though it was long. ML provides a spontaneous review of the book that the movie is based on, providing a harsh critique of the author’s final chapter.

Shawn and ML debate binge-watching with Marc, who is surprised to learn ML is one of those geeks who listens to podcasts and watches YouTube videos about his favorite show.
