- M.L. Elrick (Twitter @elrick/Facebook ML ELRICK/Instagram ml_elrick), Shawn Windsor (Twitter @ShawnWindsor) and Marc Fellhauer (Twitter @MarcFell) test the limits of Zoom as they invite two guests — and then jam Matt Jennings (Twitter @MattRJennings) of Soft Weekly into the mix!
- THE STRAIGHT DOPE: A frenetic ML urges the folks watching the LIVE broadcast of the podcast on his Facebook page ML ELRICK to share the show with friends — and to also download the audio version, which is the only way to get every moment of the show.
- ML goes on a rant about the people he saw during his trip to Costco and at a local golf course who are going to force us to stay locked up longer than necessary.
- Friend of the Show Bob Richards reached out to share a personal anecdote about the Fine Young Cannibals, last week’s guest in Room 7609.
- The ghost of Casey Kasem possesses the Soul of Detroit as ML tells HIS listener requested dog story. Spoiler alert: ML’s story has a happier ending.
- A nurse reaches out to ML to ask him to instruct everyone listening on the proper use of a face mask. ML complies.
- The boys welcome a woman who was fired after her boss allegedly decided her job ordering doodads for his pharmacies was an “essential” job that meant she could not work from home — even after Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ordered all businesses to let employees doing non-essential jobs to work from home. ML broke this story in the Free Press.
- Shawn waxes poetic about The Bad Boys, who are back in the spotlight as part of the cable saga recounting Michael Jordan’s stellar career. ML also reveals his role in Jordan’s retirement press conference, and holds up “historical documents” he saved from that event. You’ll have to watch on Facebook to see the documents or listen to get ML’s account.
- THE GREAT DEBATE: Joe Biden is accused of grabbing a former employee by the well, you know, meaning voters now have a choice between two presidential candidates who may have sexually assaulted women. The triumvirate debates whether this is front page news and the evolution — or devolution — in what kind of conduct disqualifies presidential candidates.
- GEEK OF THE WEEK: A megachurch pastor charged with multiple criminal counts for allegedly ignoring laws prohibiting large gatherings drives a church bus at a protestor. But he’s our RUNNER-UP! This week’s geeks are the Fox News Network talk show hosts who hyped a potential cure for the coronavirus who have somehow fallen silent now that studies indicate the treatment may have no effect on the disease — or could increase a patient’s suffering.
- ROOM 7609: The band who inspired the term “Darkwave” checks into the NuWave suite, giving ML a chance to share a little World War II history, throwing in a gratuitous mention of Sean Connery, Robert Redford and Anthony Hopkins in along the way.
