Let ML, Marc and Shawn keep you company as you do last-minute shopping or try to pick out the perfect Christmas movie.
STRAIGHT DOPE: Marc helps those of you who still have hard-to-please people on your Christmas list by offering his suggestion for the gift everyone wants. Then ML tells listeners how they can give it to the show!
“It’s a Wonderful Life” is the “Shawshank Redemption” of holiday movies – ALWAYS ON. Marc asks ML for his take on the Jimmy Stewart classic, and instead ML makes it all about him, plugging a parody version he once did for Fox 2. Get the bell ready!
When was “It’s a Wonderful Life” made – and who doesn’t like it? Our Mr. Potter, Shawn Windsor, chimes in with answers to both burning questions.
Who doesn’t like the original Dr. Suess “Grinch Who Stole Christmas?”
As the crew prepares to discuss holiday movies, ML immediately eliminates all Rankin Bass shows from consideration – possibly because he looks like Hermy the Elf from “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Marc gets a shot in at “Frosty” before the embargo is in place.
Guess where ML says Shawn and his wife went after they dropped their kids off at the movie theater to watch a holiday classic.
ML hates – HATES – “Home Alone.” And he’s not alone on this. Listen and learn why.
Do you love “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation?” Hear what ML, Marc and Shawn have to say about this fruitcake of a film.
Shawn offers the first of a series of non-traditional Christmas movies the crew discusses and debates. Get the crew’s take on “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,” Diehard,” “Less Than Zero” – and more!
ML tries to turn the Christmas movie discussion into a holiday movie discussion by nominating a Jame Lee Curtis film as the best holiday movie ever. Marc and Shawn stop him in his tracks, but not before Marc mentions a Halloween movie masquerading as a Christmas movie.
Is Christmas Day an appropriate time to go to the movies? ML, Marc and Shawn reminisce and reason why it’s ok to sneak off to a dark theater on Jesus’ birthday.
The gang doesn’t agree on much, but they all love “Elf.” They fail to reach a consensus on Vince Vaughn.

GEEK OF THE WEEK: The rich folks who deep fried their mansion instead of a turkey are this week’s geeks. ML offers some safety tips to help make sure it doesn’t happen to you, too.
ROOM 7609: Are we not elves? That’s the question DEVO has us asking as we book them into the New Wave suite to perform “Merry Something To You.” You can also send us your favorite deep cut or obscure band – and a story about them or why they mean something to you – by writing to [email protected].
FEEDBACK: Question for you: Is “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” a holiday movie? We welcome all your comments – and constructive criticism – at [email protected]
